Richard DeVoe began his automotive career in Muncie, Indiana with his brothers at an Edsel dealership. He acquired a Chevrolet dealership in Martinsville, Indiana in 1960 which he owned until 1967.

In 1963, Mr. DeVoe relocated his family to Naples, Florida and in 1968 had the opportunity to open Dick DeVoe Buick Cadillac. The business grew over the years and in 1990 the Buick and the Cadillac stores split to create separate locations. Cadillac remains at our original location, 4100 Tamiami Trail, and Buick moved to 1411 Solana Road, where it operated as a single point dealership for 12 years.

In 1991, the DeVoe Automotive Group purchased the Pontiac-GMC dealership located on Airport Road. This dealership facility was completely rebuilt over a 16 month period from 2000-2001.  In the fall of 2002, Buick merged with Pontiac-GMC to become DeVoe Pontiac-Buick-GMC of Naples. This complex, with over 1,000 feet of footage on Airport Road just south of the Naples Airport and next to the County Courthouse, includes the Mega Center South, our premium used car operation.

In March of 1997, the DeVoe family purchased the Volvo and Infiniti  franchises, and relocated to a new site in Bonita Springs. Both dealerships serve the Collier and Lee county markets. Our 14 acre facility also contains DeVoe Pontiac-Buick-GMC of Bonita Springs, which opened and began full operations in 1998. By the fall of 2000, DeVoe Mega Center North became the premium used car center for the entire complex.

Today at the Northwest corner of Goodlette-Frank and Solana Roads you'll find the Saab, Isuzu and Subaru of Naples and the DeVoe Collision Center, on the Southwest corner stands our brand new state of the art Suzuki showroom with the DeVoe Mega-Central Pre-owned lot.  The DeVoe Family acquired the Suzuki franchise in February of 2006, and Subaru of Naples in early 2007 and were happy to offer such strong selling international brands to the growing Naples community.  In addition to servicing Saab at our Naples location, for those who live in Bonita Springs or Ft. Myers, DeVoe offers Saab service at our Bonita Springs facility.

In early 2002, General Motors awarded the DeVoe Family with the Hummerfranchise to serve the Southwest Florida market, including Collier, Lee, Charlotte and Desoto Counties. In 2005 the state of the art Hummer Showroom and Service department opened, completing the Bonita Springs facilities.
